Child Security Procedures

  
WE REQUIRE ALL ADULTS WORKING WITH MINORS TO HAVE A CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK PERFORMED FOR SECURITY REASONS.
 
ATTENTION PARENTS:  
Preschoolers & Children Sunday Morning Safety and Security Procedures
                                                      
INFORMATION SHEET:  Parents/Guardians are to fill out an information sheet regarding the child being left in the care of the church. This is to be done once for the entire year. This can be done at the Nursery Reception Counter or the Preschool Reception Counter in the main foyer of the Preschool/Children’s building. This sheet contains important information regarding the care of your child. i.e. allergies, contact information, and especially the location of the parent during Sunday School hours should they be needed.            
 
CHILD DROP OFF: 
AGES Birth-Kindergarten:
  • PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST FILL OUT A CHILD SECURITY LABEL, PLACE THE LABEL ON THE BACK OF THEIR CHILD AND KEEP THE MATCHING NUMBERED STUBB FOR PICK UP.  Labels can be found at the Nursery Reception Counter (Ages Birth-2 yrs.) and the Preschool Reception Counter (3yrs.-K).
  • After the label has been completed, Parents/Guardians are to drop their children off at the classroom door where they will be received by their teacher.
  • If a child is to be going home with a friend or relative the teacher should be notified of this when the child is dropped off.  
  • Vibrating beepers are available upon request from parents/guardians. These beepers will send a silent vibrating signal to the parent/guardian while away from their child if immediate contact is necessary. Request these at the Nursery reception counter.
GRADES 1-4:
  • Children in grades 1-4 may proceed to their classrooms without having to sign in. 
 ALL AGES:
  • Please do not take babies/preschoolers out of class for the fellowship between morning worship services and then return them to class. This can present a disruptive problem in the classroom. If they leave the classroom with you for the fellowship time we request that they stay with you for the final hour.
  • IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN WILL BE CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY.
  • IN THE EVENT OF AN EVACUATION ALL CHILDREN WILL BE ESCORTED BY THEIR TEACHER TO THE OPEN FIELD BESIDE THE ACTIVITIES BUILDING.  
CHILD PICK UP:
Ages Birth-Kindergarten:
  • PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST PRESENT THE CHILD’S SECURITY IDENTIFICATION NUMBER TO THE TEACHER IN ORDER TO PICK UP THEIR BABY, PRESCHOOLER OR CHILD.
  • Babies and Preschoolers, are to be picked up only by a parent or guardian with a security identification number.   Young siblings are not considered guardians. Children will not be released to anyone under the age of 17. 
  • Preschoolers will not be allowed to leave the classroom on their own at the end of class. 
GRADES 1-4:
  • Children are to be picked up only by a parent or guardian.
  • Children will not be allowed to leave the classroom on their own at the end of class.
